A 3-week trip to Ghana was quite an experience into the slave trading past and some present day beauty, especially of the women in their vibrant garb. No two women wear the same fabric.

When bad or destructive things happen, there can also be great beauty, which somehow softens things. The recent California fires are just that. I made this painting after the California Valley Fire in 2015. Now more images are in progress...
